Privacy Policy

Scope

This Privacy Policy explains how ATS Checker handles information when you visit the website, sign in, analyze a resume, manage job applications, use paid features, or contact support.

Information we collect

Depending on how you use ATS Checker, we may collect:

1. Account information — Name, email address, profile image, account identifiers, and authentication information provided through Google sign-in.
2. Resume and career information — Resume files and text, contact details contained in a resume, employment and education history, skills, job descriptions, application notes, cover letters, LinkedIn profile drafts, and edits you choose to save.
3. Usage and device information — Features used, timestamps, browser and device type, approximate network information, error logs, and security events.
4. Support information — Messages, attachments, and contact details you provide when requesting support.
5. Payment information — Plan, order, subscription, transaction, billing-status, and receipt information. Card and payment credentials are collected by Creem or another enabled payment processor; ATS Checker does not store full card numbers.
6. Cookies and local storage — Essential data used for authentication, security, preferences, and preserving an unfinished ATS report.

How we use information

We use information to:

• Parse resumes and show what an applicant tracking system may be able to read.
• Compare a resume with a job description.
• Provide user-confirmed resume edits, cover letters, exports, LinkedIn suggestions, and private application tracking.
• Save work, manage accounts, apply plan limits, process purchases, and maintain subscriptions.
• Provide support and communicate about transactions, security, or material service changes.
• Detect fraud, abuse, service errors, and security threats.
• Improve reliability and understand aggregate product usage.

AI processing

Some requested features use third-party text AI infrastructure through ATS Checker's independently branded interface. ATS Checker is an independent service and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or an official product of any underlying model provider. ATS Checker minimizes or redacts direct contact information before supported AI analysis where the feature allows it, sends only the text needed for the requested task, and instructs the system not to invent qualifications or experience. AI output can be incomplete or incorrect and must be reviewed by the user.

ATS Checker does not sell resumes or use resume content to train a public ATS Checker model.

How information is shared

We do not sell personal information. We disclose information only as needed to operate the service, including:

• Cloudflare and infrastructure providers for hosting, security, networking, and storage.
• Google for account authentication when you choose Google sign-in.
• Text AI service providers for the specific analysis or writing action you request.
• Creem and other enabled payment providers for checkout, tax calculation, fraud prevention, receipts, subscriptions, refunds, and payment disputes.
• Support and email providers to receive and respond to customer requests.
• Authorities or other parties when required by law or necessary to protect users, the service, or legal rights.

Service providers receive only the information reasonably needed for their role and are subject to their own privacy and security obligations.

Retention and deletion

We retain account and saved-work information while your account is active and for a limited period afterward when needed for recovery, security, legal, tax, payment, or dispute obligations. Transaction records may be retained longer where legally required.

You can delete individual saved work where the product provides that control. To request account or personal-data deletion, email support@atschecker.app. We may retain limited records when required by law or necessary to prevent fraud and resolve disputes.

Security

We use encryption in transit, access controls, signed payment webhooks, rate limits, and operational reviews. No internet service can guarantee absolute security. Contact us immediately if you believe your account or information has been compromised.

Your choices and rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, export, delete, restrict, or object to certain processing of your personal information. You may also withdraw consent where consent is the legal basis for processing. Email us to exercise a right; we may need to verify the request.

You can control browser cookies through browser settings, but blocking essential cookies may prevent sign-in or saved progress from working.

International processing

ATS Checker and its service providers may process information in countries other than your own. Where required, appropriate safeguards are used for international transfers.

Children

ATS Checker is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

Changes

We may update this policy when the service or legal requirements change. The updated date appears at the top of this page. Material changes will be communicated through the service or by email when appropriate.
